Church of the Holy Spirit Parish Center-  Joppatowne MD

    Skorpa Design Studio was selected by The Church of the Holy Spirit to design a new parish center 2010.  Their original building was mostly destroyed by a fire and it was determined that the replacement building would be completely redesigned to meet the current and futrure needs of the Parish.  

Working closely with the church, we developed a plan that improved the overall efficiency of the building and relocated the building on the campus to improve the overall site flow and function:

    Our design included:

 - A new multi-purpose meeting room that can be used for up to 200 people and is dividable for smaller meetings or events.

- A new parish office space with offices for the Pastor and staff as well as a small work room for volunteers

- Four new classrooms / meeting rooms.  These are all dividable to increase flexibility.

- New Lobby and Main Entry

The building is planned to accommodate 2 future additions - a kitchen adjacent to the large meeting room and a doubling of the classroom / meeting room wing.

    This project was completed in 2012.
